We’re located in Oakville, just outside Toronto, and welcome clients from across the GTA. Many of our clients travel from downtown Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, and surrounding cities because of our reputation for high-quality black and grey realism tattoos.

What are your studio hours?

Zen Tattoo Studio is open Thursday through Tuesday, with appointments available most days. The studio is closed on Wednesdays to give our artists time to focus on design and preparation.

What makes Zen Tattoo Studio unique?

Clients often say Zen is the best tattoo experience they’ve ever had. We’re not your typical tattoo studio — we specialize in large-scale black and grey realism tattoos, including full sleeves, leg sleeves, chest pieces, back tattoos, and even full body suits. We work with clients who want more than just a tattoo — they want a one-of-a-kind art piece designed with care, detail, and meaning

How do I book a tattoo consultation?

Booking is simple — fill out our consultation form on the Zen Tattoo Studio website. Once submitted, our team will review your ideas and connect you with the artist best suited to your project. - https://zentattoostudio.com/booking

Do you offer free tattoo consultations?

Yes. We offer free consultations to answer your questions, review references, and discuss placement before moving into the design process. This ensures every tattoo starts with a clear direction. There’s no pressure to book — it’s an opportunity for our team and clients to connect and answer all your questions.

How far in advance should I book my Tattoo?

Large projects like sleeves, chest tattoos, and back pieces often book up several months in advance. To secure your preferred artist and timeline, we recommend reaching out early.

What tattoo styles do you specialize in?

Our studio specializes in black and grey realism tattoos — including full sleeves, chest tattoos, back pieces, portraits, and leg sleeves. Every design is custom-built around your vision.

How long does a tattoo sleeve take?

On average, a sleeve takes 4–5 sessions, though the exact timeline depends on the level of detail, placement, and overall design. At Zen Tattoo Studio, we specialize in large-scale black and grey realism and are able to work faster than most artists without ever sacrificing detail or quality. This not only delivers a smoother overall process but also saves our clients valuable time and money while still ensuring the highest level of artistry.

Do you do chest and back tattoos?

Absolutely. Many of our clients choose large-scale black and grey realism chest and back tattoos. We design these tattoos to flow naturally with the body’s shape and tell a cohesive story.

What’s the tattoo design process like?

Each tattoo design starts with a consultation where we review your ideas and references. On the day of your tattoo session, we refine the draft and make adjustments to ensure the design is perfect before we begin.

Do tattoos hurt?

Pain levels vary depending on placement and your personal tolerance. Areas like ribs or spine tend to be more sensitive, while arms and legs are typically easier. Our team makes sure you’re as comfortable as possible throughout the process.

How much does a tattoo sleeve cost in Toronto?

The cost of a sleeve depends on the size, detail, and number of sessions. Large-scale realism tattoos are both a time and financial investment. For exact session pricing, book a free consultation with our studio.

Do you offer financing or payment plans for Tattoos?

Yes. Through our financing partner, clients can start their tattoo now and pay over time. This option is popular for sleeves, back pieces, and chest tattoos that require multiple sessions.

What’s your deposit policy for tattoos?

A deposit of $350 is required to secure your booking. This deposit is applied toward your final tattoo cost and ensures your spot in our schedule. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred if you reschedule with sufficient notice.

What’s the atmosphere like at Zen Tattoo Studio?

Clients often describe our studio as welcoming, modern, and comfortable. We’re not your typical tattoo studio — reviews highlight how we treat each tattoo as a creative collaboration, not just a transaction. Every project is given the time, effort, and detail it deserves, making the experience unlike anywhere else in the GTA.

How do clients describe working with the tattoo artists?

Clients often mention how collaborative and attentive our artists are. We take the time to listen, refine your vision, and design tattoos that flow naturally on the body. Many describe the process as personal and creative — especially when it comes to black and grey realism sleeves, portraits, and large-scale work.

Can I bring a friend to my tattoo session?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring one guest to support you during your tattoo. Please keep in mind that space is limited, and the focus will remain on your experience with the artist.

How do I care for my tattoo after the session?

Your artist will provide aftercare instructions specific to your tattoo. Generally, we recommend keeping the tattoo clean, lightly moisturized, and avoiding direct sun or soaking in water for the first few weeks. Proper aftercare helps ensure the best healing and long-term results.

Can I work out after getting a tattoo?

We recommend avoiding heavy workouts for at least a few days. Excessive sweating or stretching in the tattooed area can affect healing. Once the skin has begun to recover, you can gradually return to your normal routine.

Do you offer touch-ups?

Yes, touch-ups are part of our process when needed. Your artist will advise if your tattoo requires a follow-up session to refine details once it’s fully healed.

What’s your cancellation policy?

We require notice in advance for cancellations or rescheduling. Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new appointment if proper notice is given.

Is there an age requirement to Get Tattooed?

Yes. You must be 18 years or older to get tattooed at Zen Tattoo Studio. Clients who are 17 may be tattooed with parental consent and proper documentation
